Arctic Council Youth Creativity Festival

Direction: Arctic Youth

Place: Arkhangelsk

The Arctic Council’s International Youth Creativity Festival took place on 22–25 November in Arkhangelsk as part of the plan for the main events of Russia’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023, which is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

The festival programme included lectures, master classes, and training sessions within three parallel thematic areas. The first platform (Art School) aimed to develop and promote applied arts among the peoples of the North by interpreting it in a modern format. The next platform (Brand School) provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance the appeal of the Arctic for young people. The third platform (Content School) developed solutions to promote the Arctic in the media and social networks.

The festival was attended by students of Russian and foreign universities, as well as experts and cultural figures. By participating in the event, they exchanged experience and discussed joint cultural projects.
