Saint Petersburg will host the Arctic: Today and the Future 10th International Forum on 10–12 December 2020.
The forum is organised by the Association of Polar Explorers inter-regional public organisation with the support of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and other relevant government organisations as well as regional governments, companies operating in the Arctic and non-profit, research and educational organisations.
The aim of the Forum is to pass a resolution that will aggregate the initiatives and recommendations developed over the two days of the forum.
The resolution will be sent to relevant committees in the upper and lower chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, ministries and agencies of the government of the Russian Federation to improve legislation and state regulation pertaining to sustainable development in the Arctic.
