‘Far East Street’ Exhibition of Indigenous Peoples

The ‘Soul of Russia. The North’ exposition will be opened on 17 August in Vladivostok (within the 8th Eastern Economic Forum programme) as part of the plan for the events of Russia’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023, which is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

The thematic pavilion ‘Soul of Russia. The North’ will present the applied art of Indigenous peoples using modern high-tech solutions. The exposition will be divided into multiple zones devoted to ethnography, folklore, and customs of Indigenous peoples living in Russia as well as tourism in Russian Arctic.

During the business programme experts will discuss topical issues concerning the government’s policy towards Russia’s Indigenous peoples. In addition, a meeting of the Public Council of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation will take place on the sidelines of the event.
